ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES (UNDERGRADUATE)
The academic programmes of ESUT have been designed to provide scientific and technological education training. The programmes recognize that to achieve a balanced technological education relevant to the needs of Nigeria, emphasis must be placed on the practical content of the training. It is  for this reason that prominence is given to Industrial training. The aim is to enhance the practical content of the students education so as to produce individuals capable of immediately applying, or fitting themselves to specific areas of industry and/or capable of employing himself through the establishment of entrepreneurship.

The University believes that a sound science background is a sine qua non for technological education. In science and technological programmes the first one and half years involves the systematic teaching of mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology which form the basis of the arts involved in Science and technological programmes. The students core course, followed by specialization course. The industrial Training takes place for a duration of six months in Agriculture, Engineering and Technology and three months in Applied sciences. This training is well supervised, graded and forms part of the final grading of students.

The total curriculum has also been structured to provide  for socially educated and mature citizens through the General Studies Programmes.
